Kathryn Brown Burson Lybrand, 79, of Ridge Spring, passed away Saturday, June 24th. She retired from the State Forest Commission, and had been a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

A daughter of the late Ollie Hawkins & Shirley Brown, she was married to the late Jep O. Burson & Curtis Wilson Lybrand. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Myra Cato & Oveleane Cumbie, and brothers, Jessie Brown, Harold Brown, Buck Brown, Roy Brown, & Melvin Brown.

Survivors include her son, John (Judy) burson, Paulin, SC; daughters, Shirley Anderson of South Dakota & Janie Wheeler, Batesburg; stepsons, Curtis W. Lybrand, Jr., Charleston & Crys Lybrand, Ridge Spring; brother, Jim Brown, Batesburg; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

Interment followed services conducted Tuesday, June 27, with Rev. Normand Ethridge officiating. The Milton Shealy Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
