George Lowry Spragins, 71, of Columbia, S.C., died Monday at his residence. He was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Huntsville the son of the late Marion Beirne Spragins and Georgia Lowry Spragins. Mr. Spragins was preceded in death by siblings, Susie Spragins Hill Fleming, Robert Elias Spragins II and Marion Beirne Spragins Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Morgan Spragins; sons and daughters-inlaw, George Lowry Jr. and Lori Fritsch Spragins of Bergen, N.Y., and Robert Elias III and Lisa Savell Spragins of Rowell, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Patton and Roger A. Wilson of Burke, Va.; grandchildren, Lindsey J. Spragins, Tyler R. Spragins, Bailey J. Wilson, Breanna N. Wilson, Cole C. Wilson, George D. Spragins, Ruth E. Spragins and Samuel E. Spragins; and parents-inlaw, Doit and Bea Morgan of Columbia.
