Agnes C. Burkhart
Agnes C. Burkhart, a woman of faith who loved her family,
passed away Friday in the House of Loreto. Born on February 16, 1912, in Woodsfield, OH she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Anna L. (Paulus) Schumacher. She lived in Canton most of her adult life. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter's Ladies Guild/Women's Club and the St. Peter's Altar Rosary Society. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Leo N. Burkhart who died in 1981, and daughter: Rita Ann Burkhart; brother: Edmund J. Schumacher; sisters: Louise M. Schumacher, Stella E. Spangler, Marie E. Schumacher, and Alfrida R. Smithberger. She is survived by her daughters: . . . , of the home, . . . , of Rockville, MD, . . . Burkhart, of Canton, . . . , of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren: . . . (7 listed); great-grandchildren: . . . (2 listed). Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church with Msgr. Robert L. Noon as principal celebrant and Msgr. John C. Finnigan as concelebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Wackerly Funeral Home. The St. Peter's Ladies Guild/ Women's Club will hold a prayer service at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
