Deceased Name: Dawson Arnold Gregg
Mr. Dawson Arnold Gregg, age 89, of Life Care Center of Greeneville, formerly of the St. James Community, passed away Friday, December 19, 2003, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Irene Sane Gregg, who passed away May 6, 1988, sons, Andy and Roy Gregg; daughter, Betty Lou Gregg; grandchildren, Brandy Melton and Chad Gregg; and parents, Jonathan and Marietta Gregg.
He attended Burnetts Chapel Church as long as his health permitted, and was a lifetime farmer.
Mr. Gregg is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, J.H. and Nora Gregg, Arnold and Eva Mae Gregg, all of Parrottsville; Ray and Sharlene Gregg, Glenn and Zenna Gregg, all of Greeneville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Johnny Brooks, Sue and Junior Seaton, Jane and Dewey Ricker, Dot and Tommy Melton, Edna and Jerry Dixon and Brenda and Wayne Ricker, all of Greeneville; a brother, Bruce Gregg, of Newport; a sister, Imogene McCurrey of Newport; 27 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday, December 22, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Doyle Pruitt.
Interment will be in Faubion Cemetery.
Friends were received Saturday, December 20, 2003, from 5 until 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 21, 2003 from 5 until 9 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
