Ada Wilkerson Mitchell, 77 of Moneta, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Monday, April 6, 1936 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Charlie Edward Wilkerson Sr. and Elma Tosh Wilkerson. Surviving are her husband, Wallace D. Mitchell of Moneta, sons, Micah D. Mitchell and wife Donna of Roanoke, Glenn D. Mitchell of Moneta, grandson, Jeremy Mitchell, granddaughter, Whitney Mitchell, great granddaughter, Elizabeth, brother, Charlie E. Wilkerson Jr. of Huddleston and brother-in-law, James Foster of Bassett. A graveside service was held on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at 11 am at Virginia Memorial Park with Rev. Melvin Harris officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
