Marietta "Marney" Murphy, 87, of Cassville, died March 4 at Barry County Care Center.
Mrs. Murphy was born August 13, 1915, in Grove, Oklahoma, the daughter of Bert and Cooie Marney. She moved to Cassville in 1977. She and her husband owned and operated Murphy's General Merchandise and Service Station in Rocky Comfort. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She married Carl J. Murphy on February 26, 1936, in Neosho, and he preceded her in death June 3, 1978.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Warren and her husband, Cherry, of Exeter; one son, Charles Murphy of Rocky Comfort; two sisters, Nelmarie Gaborik of Thayer and Virginia Mohlman of Camp Arkansas; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Champ Marney.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, March 7, at Rocky Comfort Cemetery under the direction of Wheaton Funeral Home.
