Funeral Saturday

Funeral services for Clarence Rogers, a lifelong resident of Benton County, who passed away Tuesday at his home in Alsea, will be held in the chapel of the McHenry funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dee Walburn officiating.

The son of Christopher and Agnes Maley Rogers, he was born February 18, 1877, at Wren.

February 20, 1900, he was married to Lorena Jenkins at Corvallis. Following their marriage the couple made their home in the Kings Valley area until 1912 when they moved to Alsea where they resided since.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Clifford, of Alsea; three daughters, Mrs. Velna Moloney, of Alsea; Mrs. Amy Hunter of Portland, and Mrs. Clara Rackliff, of Salem; one sister, Addie Price of Eugene, and six grandchildren. Burial will be in the family plot at Alsea cemetery.
