Robert "Bob" W. Adams, our loving husband, father and grandfather, age 63, passed away March 10, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born March 7, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William W. and Lucille Sands Adams. Married Cora Sparreboom, June 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He earned associate degrees in Fire Science Management and Business Administration. Member of the Air National Guard for nine years. In fire service for 45 years and served as Fire Chief for City of South Salt Lake for 20 years. Past President and Secretary of the Utah State Firemen's Association. Active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors are: his wife; son and daughter: Scott W. (Rebecca) Adams and Coralee (Matthew) Nickel; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Shirley (William) McCullough, Dr. William (Diane) Adams, Melvin J. (Delores) Adams, Anita (William) Bailey and Shari (William) Aug. Preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at 11 a.m. at South Cottonwood Stake Center, 1250 E. 4800 South. Family and friends may call on Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr. and at the church on Wednesday 9:45-10:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
