Jennie Marie Delgado, 72, died Aug. 26, 2013 at Community Hospital in Torrington.
Jennie was born Jan. 17, 1941 in Torrington, the daughter of John and Lupe (Rodriguez) Prado. She grew up and received her education in Torrington and graduated from Torrington High School. She then attended Eastern Wyoming College where she received an Associate's Degree.
She married Emiliano Delgado on Aug. 7, 1965 in Torrington. She worked for 20-plus years for the Goshen County School District as an education assistant.
Jennie enjoyed gardening both flowers and vegetables and reading. She was an extraordinary minister through St. Rose Catholic Church.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Emiliano of Torrington; a daughter, Pamela Garcia and her husband Ramon; three sons, Gregory Delgado of Torrington, and Glenn Delgado and Gary Delgado, both of Rock Springs; three brothers, Nick Prado of Torrington, Robert Prado of Rock Springs and Patrick Prado of Montclaire, Calif.; nine sisters, all of Torrington, Caroline Garcia, Esther Correa, Maryellen Castro, Elisa Castro, Theresa Prado, Frances Garcia, Anita Sanchez, Lucy Rabago and Gloria Fitzsimmons; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lila; and a brother, Dan.
