Joel C. Voorhees, of 508 W. Stevenson St., Gibsonburg, died at Sandusky Memorial Hospital. He was 91 years old. Mr. Voorhees was born in Gibsonburg on Jan. 18, 1888. His parents were James and Mary (Daum) Voorhees. He married Virginia Gallagher in 1917 and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Fay Marie) Huss, Fremont, and a son, Franklin of Lindley and a brother, Harold of Tucson, Arizona. There are also 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Wednesday, April 18 at Veh & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John A. Seim officiating, Mr. Voorhees was a member of the Zion Church in Gibsonburg.
