BROKEN BOW — Virgil F. "Bud" Ohmberger, 90, of Broken Bow, formerly of the Sargent and Ainsworth area, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow, with the Rev. Todd Karges officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 2 p.m. in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Sargent. Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ohmberger was born Aug. 17, 1923, west of Sargent to Fred D. and Edna Mae (Slagle) Ohmberger.

He was married to Marguerite Kelshaw on April 5, 1942. She preceded him in death in 2003.

He later married Irene Olson.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Irene of Broken Bow; two sons, Fred (Sharon Walker) Ohmberger of Burwell and James (Pat) Ohmberger of Lincoln; a daughter, Millicent (Rick) Orvis of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Gruber of Minden and Dorothy Moravec of Burwell; and Irene's children, Tammy (Ernie) Kleeb of Broken Bow, Fred Duryea of Valentine and Ed Duryea of Merna.
