Victoria America Greer Appling was the daughter of John Cox Greer (son of Thomas Greer) and his wife Francina Elizabeth Cox (daughter of Richard Cox), who married in 1826. Victoria married Walter A. Appling and died from complications in childbirth just before her 20th birthday.
