RAVENA -- Alfred Alberts, 75, died suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, December 19, 2001. Alfred was born in New Scotland and had lived in Ravena for 15 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. In 1998 Al retired from Hillside House of Coeymans after 21 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Alberts; children, James Alberts of Saugerties and Allen Alberts of Kingston; stepchildren, Cheryl Ann Vincent and Terry Rossman, Sr., both of Troy, Louise Hughes of FL, Regina Shutter of Hannacroix, Lisa Ribley, Kenny and Raymond Rossman, all of Coeymans; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 6:00 Friday evening, December 21 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service starting at 4 p.m. Contributions in memory of Alfred may be made to the Ravena Rescue Squad, PO Box 144, Ravena NY 12143.
