Yancey, George F.T. - George F.T. Yancey, 93, of Rose, passed away with his family by his side on April 5, 2006. He is predeceased by his wife, Thelma. George is survived by his children, Geff of Rochester, John (Michele) of Pittsford, and Susan (David) VanAcker of N. Rose; 6 grandchildren, Charity & Courtney VanAcker, George (Nora) Yancey III, Jennifer (Bill) Murray, Morgan & Candice Yancey; and 5 great-grandchildren. George and his wife Thelma were the founders of Heluva Good Cheese. Friends may call Thursday (Today) 7-9 & Friday 2-4 at the Norton Funeral Home, Sodus. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 at the N. Rose United Methodist Church, Main St., N. Rose, NY. Interment will be held at the Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the North Rose United Methodist Church or the Alton Fire Dept.
