Anna Mae Laugherty Mathias, 78, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay.

She was born April 6, 1938, in Tiffin, to William "Audley" Laugherty and Evelyn Louise Shelt (Platt, Laugherty).

Mrs. Mathias was of Protestant faith, and enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, decorating and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Mathias is survived by her son, Gerald Eugene "Butch" Mathias II; five daughters, Robin Ann Hamdan, Laura Rae (Everett) Stapleton, Scarlet (John) Dosh, Belinda Jane Horn and Tabetha Louise (Eric) Peebles; three brothers, Paul (Eddie) Platt, Bruce (Sue) Laugherty and Larry (Carol) Laugherty; a sister, Juanita Laugherty Deffenbaugh and her longtime companion, Norman Opp; three sisters-in-laws, Betty Lou Laugherty, Sharon "Sherry" Laugherty and Margaret Mathias Cross; many nieces and nephews; 18 grandchildren, Steven Gibson Jr., Holly Gibson Gilliland, Kasi Gibson Jesion, Amber Fox Salwisz, Windy Best Hoyda, Katina Best Vassalle, James Eric Siebe, Sara Siebe DeLorena, Alisha Siebe Wentz, George Dosh, LaRae Stapleton, Thomas Gibson, Jennifer Gibson Bates, Courtnie Shaffer-Horn, Tyler Horn, Jacob Mathias, Gavin Daum and Evan Daum; five stepgrandchildren, Paul Fox Jr., Rhonda Fox Snow, Rachel Fox, Ryanne Fox and John Dosh Jr.; 27 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Gibson, McCalla Gilliand, Madison Gilliland, Trace Jesion, Tanner Jesion, Aspen Salwisz, Alexis Salwisz, Annabelle Salwisz, Adeline Salwisz, Benjamin Hoyda Jr., Nathaniel Hoyda, Douglas Lundy Jr., Brianna Lundy, Alicia Lundy, Kaeden Wentz, Jacob Wentz Jr., Levi Wentz, twins Alison and Chelsee Wentz, Katelyn Victoria Dosh, Olivia Dosh, Ethan and Morgan Gibson, Colin and Aden Bates, Trenton Horn and Laden Dosh; four great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee Kromer, Farrah and Elliott Hoyda, and Brody Krupp; and a stepgreat-grandchild, Christapher Hoyda.

Mrs. Mathias was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Eugene Mathias I, Nov. 12, 2002; a son, Kevin Mathias, April 6, 1997; twin Hoyda grandbaby; six brothers, Harold E. Platt, William Audley "Bill" Laugherty Jr., Robert E. "Bob" Platt, Wade Johnson "Buzz" Laugherty, Kenneth Warren "Kenny" Laugherty and Raymond W. Platt; two infant brothers, Anthony Taylor Laugherty ,Richard; and three sisters, Dorothy Platt (Southward, Caudill), Eva Jean Platt (Rogers) and infant sister Judith Laughtery

Mrs Mathias donated her body to science.

There will be no service at this time.
