WAUSAUKEE, Wis – Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Schroeder, Sr., 81, town of Wausaukee, were held at the Luecker Funeral Home in Brillion this afternoon.
Mrs. Schroder died in the Marinette hospital early Wednesday, following a heart attack on Saturday. She was born in Germany Oct. 30, 1865, and came to the United States in 1872. She married Mr. Schroeder in Manitowoc in 1883 and came to Wausaukee 60 years ago. Her husband, who died several years ago, built the first sawmill in Wausaukee and other structures.
Survivors include her son, Carl F., chairman of the Wausaukee township, and Herman of Menominee, Mich; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Kacina of Chicago, Mrs. Will Dahlberg of Green Bay, and Mrs. Roselle Jahn of Hartford; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a brother, Ed Schwabe, Wausaukee.
