GREENFIELD, Ind., July 13. ---
George Atherton, 80 years old, of Philadelphia, was Injured fatally this afternoon when he was struck by an automobile on United States highwav No. 40 near his home.
Atherton was taken to the Robert W. Long Hospital in Indianapolis, where he died in the admitting room. Marion S. Alley of Silver Spring, Md., driver of the car, was exonerated by Sheriff Clarence Watson, who investigated.
Surviving Atherton ate throe sons, Alexander Atherton of Philadelphia, Claude Atherton of Indianapolis and Ralph Atherton of Belleville, and two daughters, Misses Myrtle and Glenna Atherton of Philadelphia.
