Clarence L. Brooks, age 72, husband of Mahala (DeShong) Brooks, and a well known Mohawk resident, passed away Monday at his home in Mohawk after a lingering illness. Surviving besides the wife are eight children, Lester M. Brooks, Richard E. Brooks, Robert L. Brooks, N. Ralph Brooks, Roscoe C. Brooks, Ivan D. Brooks, Gale W. Brooks and Marianna Brooks.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Pasco Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Neuerman, Pastor of the Greenfield Evangelical United Brethren church, officiating. Interment will be in the Philadelphia cemetery. Friends may call at the residence in Mohawk anytime Tuesday evening and at the funeral home after noon Wednesday. [Greenfield Reporter April 4, 1950]
