Abraham is thought to have been married to Susanna (also Anna or Anacha) Wisler on December 2, 1788. She was the daughter of Abraham and Magdalena (Wanger) Wisler and the granddaughter of immigrant Jacob Wisler.

The following children are listed in a 1988 genealogy: John, Elizabeth, Jacob, Magdalena (m. Henry Kupp), Susanna (m. Abraham Funk), Mary (m. Samuel Reppert).

The inscription on Abraham's marker mentions "Frau Anna," and seven children: three sons and four daughters. Abraham is buried in a Steiner family group (see photo and caption).

Relevant documents include one dated March 7, 1804 in a Lancaster County deed book which reads, "Ann Stoner, widow of Abrm Stoner appoints brother Jacob Whisler of Berks County, Union Twp. as attorney to collect debt from _____ Long."

Another document is found in Berks County deed book 205, p. 678 (1817). An excerpt reads, "Abraham Stoner late of Union Twp., Berks County left a widow Ann since remarried with John Fox."

Source: Wissler, Whisler and Whistler Families, by Oby Bonawit, 1988.

Note: A summary of the grave marker from Hollenbach list of Old Burial Ground reads, "Age 52 years, 3 months, 2 days Was married 20 years and left behind a widow, 3 sons and 4 daughters."

This raises questions about the dates of birth and marriage given above. Please take a close look at the photo of the marker. A more complete transcription and translation of the marker would be most welcome!
