CORNVILLE -- Richard E. Goodmaster, 64, of Cornville, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in Bingham.
He was born June 8, 1944, in New Haven, Conn., the son of Ernest and Olga Natalie (Shatkyvich) Goodmaster.
He graduated from a New Haven high school; he then attended the University of Colorado.
He worked for many years as a union carpenter in Alaska, Colorado and Maine, before going to work at Sappi Paper where he spent 15 years before retiring.
He enjoyed working on computers and on his piece of land in Cornville. He was a member of the Skowhegan Sportsman's Club with a keen interest in firearms.
He is survived by his family, Harvey David and Linda Ammerman of Madison; goddaughter Holly Ammerman of Waterville, Chris and Rachell Chavarie and their children Caleb, Colton, and Colby, all of Belgrade and he will be sadly missed by all of his many friends.
A memorial gathering of Richard's life is planned for 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
