Oscar P. Hicks, aged 74, of 2753 Lincoln Way East, died of a heart attack at 7:30 a.m. today in the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Phyllis Creager, with whom he had made his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1863, in Cedar Rapids, Mich., and came here from Michigan 70 years ago. On May 30, 1884, he was married in St. Joseph county to Adelia J. Bryson, who died June 15, 1930. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. C. C. Hoak, of Berrien Springs, Mich.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Creager and Mrs. Homer Bauwens, both of Mishawaka, and two grandsons.
