CHURCH RITE SLATED FOR MRS. GOODING

Mrs. Laurence E. Gooding, 73, of 1615 Hoyt St. Madison, died at 11 p.m. Thursday in St. Louis, Mo., following surgery.

Mrs. Gooding, the former Isabelle Boyle of the city, had been visiting with her daughter in Union, Mo., at the time of her death.

She was born Nov. 12, 1897, in Green Bay, a daughter of John F. and Susan Patton Boyle. She was married to John U. Allen on Sept. 21, 1927. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1946.

She was married to Laurence E. Godding on July 28, 1949. Mr. Godding died Nov. 10, 1964.

Mr. Gooding, a former Fond du Lac attorney, was the first chairman of the Wisconsin Labor Relations Board. Mrs. Gooding was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Madison.

Mrs. Gooding is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George A. Richardson of Union, Mo., and Mrs. David S. Malone of Escondido, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. T. Edward Sullivan of the city, Miss Marguerite Boyle of Raton N. M., Mrs. C. R. Frazee of Stevens Point, and Mrs. A. J. Fry of Bethlehem, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald A. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Laurence E. Gooding, who died Thursday, were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Juan Florenz, OFM Cap., officiating.
Pallbearers were Thomas F. Boyle, John R. Sullivan, Arthur J. Prein, Ralph J. Gooding, Richard Wrabetz and Laurence E. Gooding.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
