George Washington Allan, fourth son and fifth child of Colonel John and Mary (Patton) Allan, was born in Cumberland, Nova Scotia, 13 Mar 1776, drowned at sea 24 Aug 1806. He married Mary Cutts Hart, born 1779. Children: 1. Theodore Cutts, born 26 Dec 1803, died 1865; married Nancy Hall and had two children, Theodore M., born Feb 1844 and Mary, born Apr 1847. 2. John George, born 5 Apr 1805, died 1824. 3. Mary Elizabeth, born 15 Mar 1807.
