The daughter of Fred Raymond and Ella Louise (Morrill) Sawyer, Barbara Lucena "Buzz" or "Buzzie" Sawyer was born 12 December 1922 in Concord, (Merrimack Co.) New Hampshire.

While working as a nurse for the Army during World War II, she met her first husband, Walter M "Willie" Williams. The couple were blessed with the birth of at least one daughter, Glenda Williams, and they were married until his death in July of 1975.

Somtime after Willie's death, she was remarried to Warren Mason Callahan. He also preceeded her in death in January of 1999.

On 19 March 2004, Buzz passed away at Mercy Folsom Hospital in Folsom, (Sacramento Co.) California. She was later interred in the same cemetery as both of her husbands and both of her parents--Mount Vernon Memorial Park cemetery in Fair Oaks, (Sacramento Co.) California.
