COLES, Walter Lee, Sr., age 72 passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He was born in Tuskegee, AL and was a lifelong resident of Dayton, OH. He was born on October 23, 1940 to the late Inez Perry and James Coles. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine, and son, Walter Lee Coles, Jr. "Manny".

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Mary Coles; daughters, Theresa Coles and Shywana (Larry) Arnold, and Kelsey Amlin; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Tommy (Gloria) Coles, and Nathaniel Williams; sisters, brother-in-laws, George and Nathaniel Johnson; sister-in-law, Doris (Richard) Lovett; special cousin, Louise Gordan; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Walter was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
