TULIA — Lana Carlton, 63, of Tulia died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donna Nelson, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Ernie McGaughey assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Lana was born March 20, 1950, in Tulia to J.R. and Catherine Sprawls. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. She married Jim Carlton on Feb. 20, 1971, in Tulia. She was a housewife and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Carlton of Tulia; a daughter, Jessica Carlton Hatley of Amarillo; and a brother, Jan Sprawls of Tulia.

The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123; Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or a favorite charity.
