Carol Ann Donegan Age 75, of Wilmington and formerly Palos Heights, passed away Thursday August 22, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born October 12, 1937 in Chicago, Carol was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Rose A. Konratt-Leeney.

She earned her Master's degree in Social Work at Governor's State University and worked as a Social Worker for 16 years with Palos Community Hospital.

She later gained employment with Grundy County Health Department in 1994, where she was the Mental Health Director until retiring in 2010.

Carol was the founder of the Southwest Council of Al-Anon in the early 1970's, and in her free time enjoyed crocheting, knitting, golfing, boating and swimming.

She will be greatly remembered for the countless people's lives she touched over the years.

Survivors include her children: Daniel Donegan of Wilmington, Kathleen Donegan (Robert Nowak) of Posen, Patricia (Anthony) Flynn of Keller, Texas and Tracey (Mark) Stepuszek of Frankfort; seven grandchildren: Molly, Bridget, Toni Marie, Marty, Jimmy, Nicole and Ben; brother Robert (Marilyn) Leeney of Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; first husband James Donegan; second husband James Augustus; sisters: Geraldine Bottger, Laverne Duckrow and Joan Coffey and brother Patrick Leeney.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 27, 2013 from 9:00AM until time of memorial service 11:00AM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

Deacon David Ritter will officiate and inurnment will follow at 12:00PM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
