July 1, 1947 - Carroll Times Herald - Auburn — Mrs. George Hauptman, 71, of Auburn, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Sorensen, at Lake City. She had been in failing health the last 16 months and bedfast the past week.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church In Auburn. Burial will be in the Auburn cemetery. The body is resting at the Squires Funeral home in Lake City until the time of the rites.
Mrs. Hauptman had lived in Auburn 26 years, having moved here from Jefferson.
She is survived by seven daughters and one son. Her husband died a few years ago.
