Mr. Dockery was one of fourteen children born to the late Herschel Thedford and Ruby (Scales) Dockery. He was an active member of Al Sihah Shrine in Macon, Royal Order of Jesters - Macon Court; Masonic Lodge #50, the Scottish Rite Valley of Macon, Troy Hooper Scottish Rite, and Jasper County Shrine Club, where he served as past president. Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Dockery of Monticello; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wendell Davidson of Jacksonville, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Sandee Dockery of McDonough; grandchildren, Matthew and Mitchell Dockery, both of McDonough; siblings, Edith Cannon, Herschel Dockery and Geneva Miller. Funeral Services for Mr. Dockery will be held Sunday, November 14, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, November 13, from 4-7 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
