Obituary:

Lucy May Ellsworth was born on Morris Ranch, Texas [a thoroughbred horse ranch where her Aunt Alice Hester Morris lived], November 26, 1895. She departed this life after an illness of three days at the hospital at Hutchinson, Saturday, July 10, 1926, Aged 30 years, 7 months, and 16 days.

She came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burdett Ellsworth, from the Texas home to this community, when she was but two years old [1897], locating on the Ellsworth home place, in Langdon township, where the family resided since, with the exception of a year or longer, when they lived in Arlington.

At the age of 15 she united with the Methodist church at Old Langdon, and has lived a Christian life since that time. Her loved ones and friends will miss her kind words and deeds and her cheerful companionship. She was a devoted daughter and a loving mother and a loyal friend. Four brothers and one sister have preceeded her in death.

The funeral service was conducted from the Methodist church in this city Monday, July 12, by Rev, J.M. Alexandeer, pastor of the Methodist church, and the burial was in the Arlington cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her death, a son, Wilbur; a loving father and mother; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Lock of Springfield, Colo.; one brother, Guy of Rolla, Kansas, and a host of relatives and friends.
