Mr. Ferguson was a member of American Legion Post 507 in Norwood. He was an avid sports fan and former football coach.
He was predeceased by his wife, Christine Walsh Ferguson; parents, Edwin and Anna Smith Ferguson; and a brother, William Ferguson.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda A. Harmon of Downingtown; son, Richard R. Ferguson Jr. of Downingtown; two grandchildren.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, James F. Knoetgen Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave., Morton.
Visitation: Noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial: Eastlawn Cemetery, Ridley Township.
