Mr. Bishop was a retired employee of the Norfolk and Western Railway.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and George Lake, Culpeper; one brother, H. Randolph Bishop, Eggleston; one sister, Dorothy Compton, Roanoke; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Burk and Meredith Burk, Culpeper, Brian Burk, Alexandria.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Larry Patton officiating. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home, Pearisburg, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Eggleston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 6, Eggleston, VA 24086.
