She was born June 28, 1929 in Santa Clara, New York to Charles and Ida Susice Bishop.
As a child, she lived with her parents and went to schools in Santa Clara and Saint Regis Falls. She graduated in 1945 from Saint Regis Falls Central High School in Saint Regis Falls, New York.
Gloria Bishop was married to David Mosier at St. Peter's Church in Santa Clara, New York on November 15, 1947. Mr. Mosier passed away April 12, 2000.
She was a member of the Queen of Heaven parish in Henderson; she was a prior member of the Henderson Fireman's Auxiliary, Henderson Fish and Game club, and the Henderson school board. Also, she was a frequent volunteer at the polls in Henderson on Election Day.
She is survived by sons Joseph (Debra) Mosier of Moira; Jeffrey Mosier and Jean Lee-Mosier, of Ellisburg; and Steven (Kathryn) Mosier of Cortland, daughter Merry (Michael) Foyt of Omaha, Nebraska, and daughter- in-law Donna Mosier. She is also survived by sisters Violet Haynes of Providence, Rhode Island; Linda Homes of Malone; Brothers Charles (Arlene) Bishop of Saint Regis Falls and William (Joan) Bishop of Athens, Alabama. She has ten wonderful grandchildren and nine beautiful great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mosier was predeceased by her grandson Alec Foyt in 1991; husband David in 2000, son Charles in 2001.
A prayer service will be 10 am Friday, September 6th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville followed by an 11 am funeral mass at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Rt 3, Henderson with Rev. Patrick Ratigan, officiating. Graveside burial services will be 11 am, Saturday, September 7th at the Sand Hill Cemetery, North Dickinson, NY.
