Mr. Alling served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Before retiring, Mr. Alling was employed as car salesman for Nashua Ford. Previously, he was employed at the Tannery in Ayer.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Francis W. Alling Jr. and Caroline Alling, residing in Maryland, and Robert K. Alling Sr. and Irene Alling, residing in Maine; a daughter, Loretta J. Williamson, residing in Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, Robert K. Alling Jr., Maia Alling, both residing in Maine, Joseph Alling, residing in Virginia, Mary Alling, residing in Louisiana, Carrie Lauritzen, Ian Williamson and Erin Williamson, all residing in Massachusetts; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also father of John R. Alling, who died in 1989.
