Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dalhart Church of Christ with Dean Whaley, minister, and Guy Patterson, her grandson of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home.
Mrs. Connor was born in Donely County to Grady and Hazel (Muncie) Horn. Her family farmed in Hedley. She attended Wellington Schools. After loosing her parents at a young age, she stayed with her Grandmother Muncie in Wellington. She then met and married A.H. Patterson and they made their home in the Wellington area. In 1948, they moved to the Dalhart area where they purchased a farm. In 1967, A.H. Patterson died.
She continued making her home in Dalhart, where she met and married Lev Connor on Nov. 2, 1968, in Dalhart. She was a state board member of Keep Texas Beautiful and she helped organize Keep Texas Beautiful in Dalhart. She was an active member of Dalhart Church of Christ since 1948, where she taught Bible school and Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband in 1967; and a great-granddaughter, Kelsea Jo Patterson.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Tommy Patterson and wife, Martha, of Dumas; two sisters, Willie Merle Kuyendall of Amarillo and Wanda Picket Tilger of Athens; four grandchildren, Guy and Melinda Patterson of Dumas, Joey and Kay Patterson of Amarillo, Mykie Hawkins of Dalhart and Tony and Katherine McLain of Houston; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be to Dalhart Senior Citizens Association, 610 Denrock St., Dalhart, TX 79022; BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Dalhart Church of Christ, 1420 Denver Ave., Dalhart, TX 79022.
