John Oliver Forkum, 49, of 600 Wilson Place, died Monday [Sep 22, 1969]. He is survived by his wife Ruth Forkum and sons Wayne and John O. Jr., and a daughter Pamela. A native of Tennessee, he was employed by the U.S. Army, Ft. Detrick, with the East Coast Telecommunications Center. Having been born in Davidson Co., TN, he was veteran of World War II and thereafter reenlisted in the U.S. Air Force on Feb 7, 1946 at Morrison Field West Palm Beach, Florida. He retired from the military in 1966, with over 22 years of active service. Funeral services will be held in Nashville, TN at the Phillips and Roberson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd., Nashville, TN on Friday at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery, Madison, TN. Local arrangements are by the Salamone Funeral Home.
