Missouri Death Certificate#4376:

William Gregory Beckley, 72 years, 6 months and 29 days old, of rural Auxvasse, Jackson Township, Missouri died at 9:00pm on February 26, 1912 at his home.

Dr. F.H. Emmons, of Auxvasse, Missouri, pronounced death caused by Diabetic Mellites. Death being due to Diabetic Coma. The informant was Mrs. Mattie Martin of Auxvasse.

Mr. Beckley was born July 29, 1839, in Virginia, the son of Alfred and Emily (Craig) Beckley, born in Virginia and Pennsylvania. He was married to Margaret Ester Duncan and she preceded him in death in 1884. Mr. Beckley was a farmer.

No undertaker was listed. Burial was in Grand Prairie Cemetery in Auxvasse, Missouri.

William Gregory Beckley died at his home in Auxvasse, Missouri on Monday, February 26, 1912 as the result of an attack of La Grippe.

William was the 4th son of Glen Alfred Beckley and the brother of the late John Beckley, of this city.

He was born in Wildwood, the family homestead on July 29, 1839 and resided here until several years ago when he moved with his family to Missouri where he made his home.

Survived by two sons; three daughters; two brothers, Alfred Beckley of Fen Castle, Virginia and Isaac Beckley of Auxvasse, Missouri.
