Mrs David C. (Eva Lou) Cowger, formerly of near Braddyville, died Monday at Good Samaritan Rest Home in Omaha where she had been since 1968. Prior to going there, she had made her home with her son, David, in Omaha.

Funeral services for Mrs Cowger were held this Thursday morning at Walker Funeral Home with the Rev Jerold Irvin officiating. Mrs John Sperry was organist. Casket bearers were: Mark Goodwin, Ralph, Paul, Lyle, Merlin and Marvin Fuller. Burial was in the Clearmont, Mo cemetery.

Mrs Cowger was born Aug 10, 1884, on a farm in Fremont County, daughter of Willis and Alice Ackley. She was married to David C. Cowger on Feb 17, 1903, and they farmed in the Clearmont-Braddyville area. Mr Cowger died in 1941.

They had nine children, seven of whom are survivors. One daughter died in infancy and the eldest son, Francis in 1966.

Survivors include Mrs Roy (Edith) Thews of Tucson, Ariz, Mrs Herman (Mabel) Wessels of Glenwood, Minn, Howard Cowger of Clarinda, Mrs Elsie Johnson of Waseca, Minn, Mrs Marvin (Pauline) Klatt of Blue Earth, Minn, Mrs Joe (Evelyn) Reynold, of Kansas City, Mo, and David Cowger of Omaha.

She has 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
