Funeral services for Daniel Alderete, Jr. of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, followed by a 7 p.m. rosary at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Mr. Alderete was born July 20, 1940 in Nixon, Texas. He passed away May 18, 2001 at his residence in Rosenberg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Alderete, Sr. and Maria Alderete; son, Daniel Alderete III; and sister, Amelia Mindieta.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret Mata Alderete of Rosenberg; daughters, Anna Rodriguez and husband, Luciano, of Rosenberg, Rita Quinones and husband, Francisco, of Rosenberg, Cynthia Alanis and husband, Reyes, of Rosenberg, Elsa Ramon and husband, Joel, of Rosenberg, Veronica Munoz and husband, Alex, of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Luciano Rodriguez Jr., Daniel Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Frank Quinones, Jr., John Quinones, Israel Quinones, Melissa Alanis Uvalle, Gracie Alanis, and Joel Ramon III; great-grandchildren, John Quinones, Jr., Makayla Quinones, Marissa Uvalle, Gabrielle Rodriguez, Christopher Herrera, and Alex Munoz, Jr. Mr. Alderete is also survived by three brothers, Alex Alderete of Houston, Tony Alderete of Houston, and Lupe Alderete of Rosenberg; and three sisters, Janie Cerda of Richmond, Frances Duran of Sugar Land, and Susie Palacios of Rosenberg.
