Gary W. Bailey, 60, husband of Susan A. Bailey, Died peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, Thursday, July 17, 2008 at his residence of Melanoma. Born in Frankfort on January 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Earl and Elinor Watkins Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a career employee of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife with the Engineering Department and camp superintendent of Camp Robert C. Webb in Carter County for fourteen years. He was a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation and a Veteran of Foreign War; serving during the Vietnam Era. Gary was a member of Graefenburg Baptist Church, where he painted the Baptistery when he was eighteen years old.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Smith Bailey of Frankfort; a daughter, Tresina Bowman Dale of Frankfort; a son, Clay Thomas Bowman of Washington, NC; two grandsons, Chadwick Dale and Andrew Dale, both of Frankfort; a granddaughter, Ellie Dale of Frankfort; a sister, Mary Ellen Samples (Jerry) of Frankfort; three brothers, David Bailey (Judy) of Frankfort, Jerry Lee Bailey of Owenton and Larry Bailey of Ada, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Grayson, Earl Buckler, Glenn Kitchen, Danny Allen, Sam Christian, Seth Christian, Glenn Ison and Steven Samples.

Honorary bearers will be Clay Thomas Bowman, Tresina Dale, Chadwick Dale, Andrew Dale, Ellie Dale, Angie Allen and Rebecca Smith.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 20th, and Services on Monday, July 21st at 10:30 a.m. at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Sargent officiating. Gary will be buried at Bethel Cemetery
