Graveside Funeral Services for Lela Evelyn (Shields) Howe-Rice, 60, will be at 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Kossuth, Alcorn County, MS, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home. Bro. Trey Lambert will officiate.
She passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at her residence.
Lela was born Dec. 22, 1949.
She was employed at ITT for 12 years and was a member of Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Leroy Shields and Francis Louis (Deatherage) Shields; and one son, Scott Lee Howe.
Survivors include two sons, Bradley Rice (Lorrie) of Corinth, MS; Daniel Howe (Cheryl) of Joliet, IL; one brother, Jimmy Shields (Patty) of Naperville, IL; one sister, Carolyn (Shields) Nonez of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Trey Rice, Alyssa Rice and Daniel H. Howe.
