SHAW, BILLY RAY - age 63, of Fountain City, passed away suddenly after a long illness, on September 6, 2013. He attended Central High School, where he excelled in athletics and was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a kind and caring spirit. He was preceded in death by parents, Earl Henry Shaw and Verla Bridges Shaw; grandparents, Nelse and Margrette Shaw, and Harvey and Bessie Bridges. Survived by soul mate, Bea Drinnen; brothers, David and Teressia Shaw, Larry Claire Shaw; sister, Sharon Shaw Phipps; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth and Johnathan Lambert and Ralph Shaw, Christa Shaw, Brent and Cherry Shaw, Andrew and Jack Shaw; uncles, Conley, Dennis and Ralph Bridges; and many cousins; Dunkin, his special dog. A special thanks to Bea Drinnen for her loving and special care for Billy. A celebration of life service will be held Monday, September 9, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Gary Vandergriff officiating. Inurnment will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. www.rosemortuary.com
