Edward Alonzo Berry, 79, died in Decatur, Illinois on September 6, 1947. He was born in DeWitt County, Illinois on October 28, 1867, the son of John Campbell Berry and Martha Jane Duncan. He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Miller on June 6, 1894 in Boonville, Missouri. The couple had five children: Harry, Earl R., Elwood M., Charles William, and Dorothy M. In 1900 he was living in Maroa Township, Macon County, Illinois working as a farm laborer. In 1910, the family was farming in Clark Fork, Cooper County, Missouri. By 1920 and through the 1930s they had moved back to Illinois, living in Decatur in Macon County and he was employed as a painter and paperhanger.
