In Memory of Zoe' Marie Miller. Born November 14, 1912, Providence, Rhode Island. Entered into rest June 27, 2009, Omaha, Nebraska, 96 years, 7 months, 14 days. Zoe' Marie Pickard was the third child of Mary Alice Bixby & Helidore Pierce Pickard. Sister Nita born 1905 and passed away at age 98, brother Charles born 1910 and passed away in his 30's, brother Marshall born 1918 and resides in San Diego, California.
Zoe' married John Shepherd Miller in April 1931 and they had four children, John Shepherd, David Alan, Kevin Charles, deceased and Ellen Zoe', deceased. Zoe' worked for Ideal Doll Company in New York for many years. Zoe' loved to cook and dance. She had a fondness for Teddy Bears which she displayed in her room.
In 1959 Zoe' met the love of her life, Frank Scheich. Frank played minor league baseball for the New York Yankee baseball association. They lived in upstate New York and shared 34 wonderful years together. In 1994 during their annual visit to Omaha Frank suffered a heart attack and passed away. He was 86 years old. Per their wishes they are buried in Omaha alongside one another! Shortly after Frank's death Zoe' moved to Omaha to live with son & daughter-in-law, David and Mary Miller. Five years later she then moved to Carter House an assisted living home in Blair. Then moved to Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
Survivors include son John & wife Teresa of New York, son David & wife Mary of Omaha, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
