Gabriel Michael Gerard Cude June 10, 2011 - June 20, 2011 Gabriel Michael Gerard Cude was born on Friday, June 10, 2011, and lived for ten days that changed the world. He was diagnosed with anencephaly, a fatal neural tube defect, at 21 weeks gestation and before he was even born had taught many a lesson in life and faith. Gabriel defied the odds and expectations by fighting a quiet, heroic battle for his life. In ten days he brought joy to those who met him, both in person and virtually through the internet, and changed the way many viewed what it means to live, and to be beautiful. His legacy of love will continue on in many hearts. Gabriel is survived by his parents, Charles Benjamin Cude and Andrea Hernandez Cude; grandparents Charles and Tina Cude, Mary and Mike Dyches, and Steven and Barbara Hernandez; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a "fan club" consisting of hundreds. A rosary will be held on Monday, June 27th, at 9:30 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00. http://gabrielsmessagelives.blogspot.com www.bakersfield.com/obits
