Adolphus C. Swindell

Adolphus C. Swindell, 83, of 625 E. Central, died Saturday in a local hospital.

Born June 17, 1879, in Benton, Ark., he came to Wichita in 1949 from Rose Hill, Kan. He married Myrle [sic] Johnson in 1955. He was a member of Friends Church, Rose Hill.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. W.A. Lackey, 435 N. Abilene, and Mrs. Berdene Fisher, Boise, Idaho; a son, Ray, of the home; a brother, J.E., Fruita, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Estell Showalter, Rose Hill; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Dunlap Cemetery, Rose Hill.
