CLIFTON--Riley O. Woellhof, 95, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Mercy Health Center College Ave., Manhattan.
Mr. Woellhof was born May 6, 1908, at Riley County, the son of George and Anna (Woellhof) Harrison.
He was raised by his grandparents, Gottlieb and Anna Woellhof. He attended school in Clay County. He married Edythe Constable in 1929. He farmed in Clay County before moving to Colorado Springs in 1953. Mr. Woellhof worked as a heavy equipment operator until he retired. He moved
to Clifton in 2001. He was a member of the Operators Engineers Local Union #9 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edythe, in 1984; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters, Pamela Prince of Park City, Utah, Dorothy Mullen of Sarasota, Fla., Pat and husband John Sauvain of Holt, Mo., and June Favre of Galway, Ireland; three sons, Scott and wife Lynn
Woellhof of Grand Junction, Colo., Phillip and wife Rolla Woellhof of Ridgefield, Conn., and Kenneth Woellhof of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Donald "Butch" and wife Pearl Woellhof of Clay Center; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bloom Cemetery in Clay County with the Rev. Gerald Martin officiating. Burial will be in Bloom Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Riley is my mother's 1st cousin.
*He is also survived by a half-brother, James "Jim" Harrison and wife, Terri of Thornton, Colorado.
