Betty Jane (Schafer) Jenkins, In loving memory of Betty Jane Jenkins. Betty passed away on February 7, 2002 at home in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 77. She was a long-time resident of the South Bay. She was born in Belleville, Illinois on August 27, 1924. Betty was the loving wife of Kenneth Jenkins for 60 years, beloved mother of Sandy Taylor (B.J.) and Harry Jenkins (Jan), grandmother of Peggy, Michelle, Sherry, Michael, David and Nicole, great-grandmother of 9 and great-great grandmother of 1, survived by her sisters Jeanette, Darlene, Roselyn and Joanne. ''Our lives were so enriched because of you. You were our light and strength and our love for you will last forever.'' Services will be held Friday, February 15, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 South Stapley, Mesa, Arizona 85204 - 1-480-964-4537.
