MARJORIE VAUGHAN ROMBOUGH Marjorie Vaughan Rombough (nee Cooper), born in the town of Rockwood, MB June 1, 1925 died June 20, 2013 in Victoria, BC after a long, full life. Marj is predeceased by her biological and adoptive parents, the Williams and the Coopers respectively, husband Wally, son Robert, sisters Mabel, Mary, Ester, Joyce Geraldine, brothers Ernie and Austin. Survived by her children, John (Deana), Cathy (Gary), Beth (Carlos), Bill (Anne), and daughter-in-law Sheryl, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sisters Vicky, Meegan, brothers Lloyd, Ralph. Marj enjoyed working in a steno pool, while waiting for the love of her life to arrive. Marj and Wally were married on August 26, 1947 and were blessed with a much wanted baby boy John in 1953. As the years passed they were bestowed with four more precious bundles. Marj loved her children, and made a warm home for her large family. Marj contributed to her community by serving as secretary on the Juan de Fuca Recreation Commission. Marj also sold Avon for a second career for 20 plus years, and succeeded to the Avon President's Club. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A celebration of life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Ave., Victoria, BC, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the reuniting of Wally and Marj forever. There will be a reception to follow at Sands Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Diabetes Association of Canada.
