A funeral for Luella M. Wiebe of Ferndale will be at 2 pm Thursday in Birch Bay Community Church with the Rev. Jim Totzke officiating. A graveside service will follow in Enterprise Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiebe died Monday, Nov 30, 1998. She was 80.
Born Sept 14, 1918 to John and Nettie Kunkel Goossen in Poplar, Mont, she grew up in northeastern Montana. She married Walter Wiebe Feb 9, 1947 in Birch Bay.
For most of her life, Mrs. Wiebe worked as a farmer and homemaker. She was a charter member of Birch Bay Bible Community Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, baking and preserving food.
Survivors include husband Walter Wiebe of Bellingham; son Lee Wiebe of Ferndale; daughter Janice Norton of Beirut, Lebanon; son Bill Wiebe of Ferndale; sisters Bertha Frosse of Saskatoon, Sask, Viola Purdy of Memphis, Tenn, and Selma Singer of Gig Harbor; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
